A lawyer since
1981, Shelley Dunstone has a comprehensive understanding of the legal profession and the issues that it must address.
She has worked in numerous legal offices of all sizes, and in a wide range of practice areas, and has been a partner in a major commercial law firm. Combined with her extensive experience in legal recruitment, she is well-placed to assess the suitability of candidates for lawyer roles, and to advise job seekers about careers in law.
Shelley has qualifications and expertise in business strategy and marketing, equipping her to advise on a wide range of lawyers' business issues. A skilled facilitator, she can create an environment in which groups feel comfortable to discuss the issues at hand and contribute their suggestions.
Shelley encourages the belief that everyone has something special and different to offer. "I am committed to helping people develop satisfying careers" she says. "People need to identify the qualities that they uniquely have, and how those can be of value to an employer".
Shelley is a Director of the Australian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA) and is the immediate past Chair of ALPMA (SA).
As a lecturer with the Graduate
Diploma in Legal Practice ( University of South Australia
) she trained a generation of lawyers, and wrote
a textbook, A Practical
Guide to Drafting Pleadings.

"This book is unique in the guidance it offers as to the drafting of pleadings...I was impressed by Ms Dunstone's innovative approach...it deserves to be read by students and practitioners alike." - from the Foreword by the (now late) Justice Perry of the Supreme Court of South Australia.
"It is the best text on drafting pleadings that I have found." - Nandi Segbedzi, Barrister, Melbourne
